Bris details
Once we have set a date for your son's bris, please send me these details.
And for you
Items to have and do for the bris:
- 2 firm sleeping pillows (if you have arranged for the ceremonial high chair, only one pillow is needed)
- 2 tallis
- Kosher sweet grape juice, or wine
- A kiddush cup
- 2 white candles, candlesticks and matches (optional, and not on Shabbat)
- A 1 oz tube of Bacitracin, or a comparable ointment
- Extra diapers
- Baby wipes
- A receiving blanket that may get soiled or stained
- Decide on the honors for the ceremony
- For Sephardim and Persians only: fragrant spices
